I was the lead product designer for this very early-phase web start-up, which aims to disrupt the travel industry by obtaining group rates for individuals on their hotel bookings. I defined the look and feel of the website and related properties such as Facebook and Twitter, managed contract resources and supported hiring. I also guided product strategy, collaborated with development, created and managed content, and oversaw the quality of product releases.

St. Jude Medical is a Fortune 100 company where I
led the creation of user-centered software solutions. Working simultaneously on multiple projects, I was
involved in all facets of conceptual product design and software
development as I managed
project activities and collaborated closely with cross-disciplinary
team members. At St. Jude, I formalized a powerful system for product design
in the medical industry by combining Interaction Design principles
& best practices with classic Human Factors methods. My activities
included ethnographic customer research, mockup and prototype development,
and detailed requirements definition. I also led usability testing
and participated in design reviews throughout the product lifecycle
to ensure that the final product would meet customers' expectations.
As the senior staff member of a strategic department, I supported hiring, mentored colleagues and provided training throughout the organization. Projects included:

I led interaction design consulting engagements, performing ethnographic
research, persona modeling, interaction framework conceptualization,

Cooper methodology and best practices, supervised multiple design teams,
and wrote and delivered training courses. I delivered design solutions
